Tank and Tummy, nestled in Amuwo Odofin Estate, Lagos, offers a delightful experience for food lovers. Set against the backdrop of a fuel station, this restaurant is surprisingly well-regarded for its authentic local Nigerian dishes. Reviewers have lauded the variety and taste of meals—like the yam porridge and stewed plantain, often highlighted as flavorful and satisfying.
David Chiwuoke, a regular patron, emphasizes the restaurant's appeal as a solid choice for casual dining rather than formal outings. While he mentions a need for additional staff during busy hours, the food quality remains a redeeming feature. Kalakuta echoes this sentiment, appreciating the courteous staff and clean environment, making it suitable for a quick lunch.
Though some customers noted inconsistencies in service, many agree that the taste of the dishes overshadows these minor drawbacks. The ambiance is spacious, perfect for a casual gathering or a private meeting, while the overall pricing is described as reasonable. If you’re seeking a place where local cuisine shines amidst a relaxed setting, Tank and Tummy is a commendable stop in Lagos.

Reviews for Tank and Tummy
Review highlights
Based on 2,266 reviewsTank and Tummy is recognized for offering a diverse menu featuring well-prepared local Nigerian dishes alongside other options, making it a popular choice for breakfast and fast food in Lagos. Customers appreciate the tasty meals and reasonable pricing, though service speed and attentiveness can vary, particularly during busy times like weekends. The restaurant's location within a fuel station complex provides ample parking and convenience for drivers. While the ambiance is clean and spacious enough for casual visits or meetings, it may not suit more formal dining occasions. Overall, Tank and Tummy is praised for good food quality and a welcoming environment, with some room for improvement in customer service efficiency.
This is a good place to visit if you desire a good variety of local Nigerian dishes that are well made and also tasty. As the name suggests its bang in the same premises as a fuel station. Not the greatest spot for a posh date. But a good place for great food. The place can do with a bit more staff especially on sundays to reduce waiting time. I ate here a couple of times on my last holidays to lagos and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. A really nice spot will visit again
Good food, courteous staff. Clean decent environment. Suitable for a quick lunch
They have a good customer service and their meal tastes good. Plus it’s serene
Food taste good and very delicious. The prices are not too high and not cheap either. Just averagely okay! Customers Service not excellent. The supervisor had to call the attendants attentions to me after standing for a while without being attended to. Well, the taste of the food covered for their shortcomings. I got 1 portion of yam porridge ( for N450) and 1 portion of stewed plantain (N350). The take away pack is N150 .. i.e I spent like 1k without meat
It has a good parking space, it's very close to NNPC fuel station so that's a plus if you are driving. The offer a variety of dishes from English to traditional and pastries. Very spacious and a lot of tables so you have privacy if you go there for a meeting like I did.
The eatery is simply excellent. I will not let the bad experience of one day cloud my judgement. Please always check the expiry date of your farm fresh yoghurt especially. Thanks
